When thinking about our own life stories, most of us hope that we’ll be remembered as having made a positive impact in our world – as leaving a positive legacy. The work that we do to build tiny homes for the homeless has been ongoing since 2018. In that time, we’ve built more than 800 of our tiny homes, installed in 26 villages around the area with more on the way (Fall, 2026), and helped shelter over 7,000 people in LIHI-run tiny home villages. But the problem is growing and so our efforts must continue, too.
We buy more than $50k worth of building materials every single month. Roughly 90% of our funds come from local businesses, civic and faith groups, and individuals who care about our community, like you do. Leaving a gift as part of your will or estate planning means ensuring building supplies continue to flow, and our volunteers continue to build our tiny homes to shelter neighbors who would otherwise be on the street.
For just $4500 worth of building supplies, every tiny home you help fund through a planned gift will shelter up to fifty otherwise homeless neighbors during its designed life of up to twenty years.
